The NMI Board of Nursing is pleased to advise all applicants and the public that, effective Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Chamorro Standard Time (ChST), we will be transitioning to an electronic license management and discipline enforcement solution, the Optimal Regulatory Board System (ORBS).
The Optimal Regulatory Board System (ORBS) will provide for the following key benefits:
- Enhanced continuity of data integrity throughout the entire process by aligning the data in ORBS with Nursys member board data
- Applicants with an online portal to electronically submit applications, verify their license status, and receive alerts and reminders
- Interfacing with Nursys, FITS, NCLEX Administration, and other NCSBN systems
- The comprehensive backup of all data related to licensing, enforcement, and management
Following the Go-Live date on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Chamorro Standard Time (ChST), applicants will be able to create their accounts on the NMI Nurse Portal. The link to the NMI Nurse Portal will be provided upon the Go-Live of ORBS.
For applicants who have submitted paper-based applications prior to this date, your data will be entered into the ORBS by the NMI BON staff prior to your examination. However, applicants will need still create an account to access his/her data.
